There is none so more when this darkness falls,
knowing this time alone this time to be.
Roads of dust and skies a temperance holds,
in you I’ve watched the wind come for me.
Strange angels walked where better men have been,
then mine eyes watched the silver moon set.
Enough I had where jaded trees have seen,
now gryphons weep as I walk and come to let.
Blue darkness sooths the stone this night in tame,
ravens sleep in the shadows while I pass.
As the stars blend and merge to spell your name,
silent groves summon in steel grey grass.
Silhouettes now whisper alone so stark,
on this eve fire touches my skin with care.
I watched you rise as a phoenix in the dark,
Lonely beating your wings against the void.
Only you remain my brightest memory,
very much the same as any night but.
Even now I recall none more than thee,
You’ve always known this warrior poet.
